Our water recycling plant
Our newly upgraded water recycling plant recycles 24 000 litres every 24 hours, keeping a fleet of 120+ vehicles clean without draining the municipal supply.
The plant runs on a full maintenance programme. Water is tested on site every month for impurities, and an annual sample is sent to an independent laboratory for in-depth analysis. The result is clean, potable water said to be purer than tap or even bottled water.
Master Cargo now uses less than 5% municipal water across its Durbanville operation.
Cleaner on the road, too
Master Cargo put the first Euro 5 trucks on South African roads.
A young fleet with an average age of three years, preventative maintenance after every trip and OEM service agreements keep engines running at peak efficiency, which means lower fuel burn and lower emissions per kilometre for every load we carry.
